About
Craig’s specialist subject is this relatively common however seldom-encountered large frog species. He is one of only a handful of people who keep this species in captivity and also holds a breeding population.
After many years of trial and error, Craig has gone to great lengths in succeeding to raise and breed this species. He is now one of the few, if not the only current captive breeder of this endemic Tasmanian tree frog species.
Raising the frogs in captivity has enabled him to observe and document many previously undocumented details of their morphology and private lives.
Craig will delve into the evolution, discovery and naming of this species. You will be introduced to some of his “babies” and discover why this somewhat elusive species is both unique and vulnerable.
