About:
Vishnu is a geographer whose work spans saltmarsh and wetland ecology, science communication, environmental planning, sustainability, and political economy. His mission-oriented and place-based approach integrates ecological and social science to support conservation and sustainability outcomes.
A key focus of Vishnu’s research has been the conservation and restoration of coastal wetlands and the social-ecological systems they support, working closely with local communities, land managers, practitioners, and government agencies.
