<p style="font-size:23px">Each spring, Tasmania welcomes four species of cuckoo that migrate to our island for breeding after spending the cooler months at higher latitudes. All four species – Pallid Cuckoo, Australian Fan-tailed Cuckoo, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo and Horsfield’s Bronze-Cuckoo – are ‘brood parasites’. </p>

<p style="font-size:23px">In this talk, we will find out how to identify these cuckoos, learn about their general ecology and, finally, unpack what it means to be a brood parasite. </p>
