Assoc Prof Neville Barrett – “The globally unique marine life of Bathurst Channel. A tannin-driven deep-water emergence”.

Neville Barrett is a temperate reef ecologist based at IMAS, where he has been working on a wide range of topics from understanding the effectiveness of marine protected areas, fish biology, long term monitoring, ecosystem function, estuarine systems and shelf ecology. Neville will be talking about the unique marine life of the Bathurst Channel in the South West of Tasmania, and will speak in detail about the processes that structure this flora and fauna and the factors that drive variation in space and time.
