About: Waterworks Reserve is a historic Hobart water supply landscape dating from the 1860s, now managed as a recreational and nature reserve. The reserve supports a mix of wet eucalypt forest, ferny gullies, and riparian vegetation, making it a productive site for ecological observation close to the city. The reserve is managed by the City of Hobart as part of its parks and water catchment estate. For more information: Waterworks Reserve – City of Hobart, and Waterworks walking tracks overview.
