About

Jason Graham is the convenor of the Pacific Black Duck (PBD) Conservation Group (PBDCG) with Landcare Tasmania and a registered native duck rehabilitator. Many areas of Tasmania that should be home to PBDs are degraded by feral ducks and geese and in New Zealand they are expected to go extinct in the near future due to introgressive hybridisation.

Jason will discuss the issue of PBD hybridisation in Tasmania and tell us of the various projects being undertaken by the Landcare Group to protect PBDs and other native Tasmanian ducks. Learn how to distinguish PBDs and hybrids and how to help protect them!
