gallery 1920

This gallery of photographs of the 1920 Easter Camp to Safety Cove on Tasman Peninsula originally belonged to Haughton Somerville Innes (known as Toney Innes), 1897-1983. Mr Innes was a journalist at The Mercury at the time. During a long journalistic career he worked for the Sydney Morning Herald and was in charge of the Press Gallery in the Houses of Parliament in Canberra from 1949 until he retired in 1960.

We are indebted to Ian Broinowski who allowed us to re-photograph the contents of the album, which are shown below.

The official written report on the 1920 Camp can be found in the Easter Camp Archives.
